Service Project: Veteran’s Day Flag Ceremony

We need Cub Scouts to be part of the annual Holy Trinity Veteran’s Day flag ceremony. This is a short event, but the parish takes it seriously. They ask the scouts to do this every year. When called to serve, Pack 234 is there!

WHAT: Veteran’s Day flag raising

DATE: Monday, November 10

TIME: 8:20 show. We’ll be done before 9 am

WEAR: Field uniforms (Class A)

We’ll organize the flag formation and practice a couple of times. Then we’ll raise the flag for the parishioners who attend.

Service Project: Scouting For Food

Scouting for Food has been a Scouting America national service project since 1988.

Flyers are distributed to houses in local neighborhoods by Pack 234 scouts on a Saturday in November. People are asked to fill shopping bags with non-perishable food and leave them on their doorstep or curb by 9:00 am on the second Saturday, when the scouts go back out and pick up all the food.

We will be donating all food to the Holy Trinity Catholic Church food bank. This year people might need extra food more than ever!

Phase 0: November 7, 6 pm

This is the event kickoff

All families meet at Holy Trinity school to receive bags, flyers, and area assignments

Phase 1: November 8, 9-11 am

Dens distribute bags and flyers to homes

Phase 2: November 15, 10 am-12 pm

Dens pick up the food and bring it to Holy Trinity Catholic Church

Religious Emblems – Fall Turn-In

Families wishing to earn the Light of Christ (Tiger/Wolf) or Parvuli Dei (Bear/Webelos) religious emblems obtain the books from the pack or on your own from the Scout Shop.  Other religions can contact our Religious Activities Coordinator for assistance in obtaining the appropriate workbook. More information from the Archdiocese Committee on Scouting can be found here.

Workbooks take 3-6 weekends to complete.  Parents, contact our pack Religious Emblems Coordinator to obtain a book.

If your scout would like to earn the religious emblem for his or her rank, you should purchase the workbook by October 15. Books are due by December 5.

San Pedro Christmas Parade

Join Pack 234 as we show our civic pride and holiday cheer for the citizens of San Pedro!

We’ll be marching in the San Pedro Spirit of the Holidays Parade.

DATE: Sunday, December 7, 2025

TIME: 12-2 pm

WHERE: See the map below. The staging order will be posted here once we are told where to line up.

WEAR: Class A uniforms. Santa hats are authorized.

Families can walk with us or line up along the route to enjoy the parade. Scouts will also get credit for service hours and hiking miles.

December Pack Meeting: Christmas Party

Pack 234’s Christmas party is a little bit different this year. Instead of a traditional party, we’ll be spreading Christmas cheer to the community.

Uniform: Class A

We will be a senior citizen home. We’ll start off with hot chocolate and snacks and then go inside to sing Christmas carols. Pinewood Derby car kits will also be handed out at this pack meeting.

Winter Camping: Webelos Woods and AOL Adventure

Camping with Scouts BSA!
Arrow of Light Adventure and Webelos Woods is an outdoor adventure designed to engage AOL and Webelos scouts in fun and useful scout skills that will prepare them to bridge into a Scout Troop.

Scouts BSA Troops will introduce leadership skills, outdoor skills, and the EDGE method to Webelos and AOL scouts.

AOL Patrols can camp overnight. Webelos dens can attend for the day on Saturday.

Cost is $60 for AOLs who are camping, $30 for Webelos attending for the day.
